Hello everyone. 皆様、こんにちは。For those of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Helen Otori, owner-operator of White Rose C.C.C; and as well as teaching English, I spend an awful lot of my time either baking, eating or talking about cakes! ホワイトローズの大鳥ヘレンです！英語講師を務めていると同様にケーキを作ったり、食べたり、よく話したりしています！However, today, I’m going to take a break from ‘talking cake’ to tell you a little bit about what I do at White Rose C.C.C. だけれども、今日はいつもの‘ケーキ話’の変わりに、このホワイトローズシ・シ・シ・を紹介したいと思っています。
I personally believe that people who are able to learn languages do so for two reasons: they need it, or they are deeply interested in it. 自分の経験から思うのは、新しい言葉を簡単に覚えられる理由は２つあります：生活の中に必要としているのか、その言葉に深い興味を持っている。Being in a relaxed atmosphere also helps. リラックスした雰囲気の中で勉強するのも非常に効果的です。Repetition and continuity are also important keys to learning, which is why, as a general rule, I only take on students who want to study on a regular basis. 言葉の学習には繰り返しや継続性も必要ですので、基本としては定期的に英語を勉強したい生徒さんのためにレッスンを提供しています。I am a one-woman business/teacher who invites students into her own home. 1人でこのホワイトローズを経営して、自分ですべてのレッスンを教えて、本当にこじんまりの自宅教室です。I don’t charge a membership fee and I don’t expect my students to pay for extras but I do offer structured lessons that are tailor-made to the individual students.入会費や学習教材費をもちろん頂かないですが、英語講師として長いキャリアを持っていますので一人ひとりの生徒に合う教材を用意して、生徒の個性に合った指導を心掛けています。Along with my experience, I also provide a friendly place to study and a good cup of tea. アットホームな教室で、美味しい紅茶をご自由に飲んで頂きながら、自分のペースで自分の学びたい英語の勉強ができます。それが私のポリシーです！
