I’ve been so busy these last few months that my cakes have been feeling a bit neglected!  I have still been baking though, as usual, for my Afternoon Tea lessons.  最近忙しくて、ケーキのレシピをアップしていなかったですね。でもアフタヌーンティーレッスンのために様々なお菓子作り、いつも通りに挑戦していました。先週、このモルトローフを初めて作って見ました。 Last week, I got a craving for a piece of Malt loaf, something that used to be a favourite of mine. イギリスでモルトローフは定番な間食です。そして小さい頃から、私の大好物でした。モルトローフとは麦芽によって甘味とココアのような色をつけられたパウンドケーキのような見た目のお菓子で、スライスしトーストしてバターを塗ったりとまるでパンのように朝食などで食べられています。食感がものすごくネッチリしていて噛みごたえがあります。 I couldn’tContinue reading “Malt Loaf…..making it up as I go along!”
