Cake that’s good for you? I’m in!

Over here in Japan, the rainy season is officially over and summer has arrived with a vengeance. 日本では梅雨明けが発表され、暑い夏がやってきました。As usual, as I shed the layers of winter clothing, I realize, rather belatedly that I should probably lose a few pounds, so decided to make this cake as a healthy alternative to our usual afternoon tea treats. 毎年通り、冬の分厚い服を夏の服に変えると「冬の間、ダイエットに頑張れば良かった」とついに反省しています。その私が今週この’健康的な’ズッキニーと レモンケーキを皆さまにご紹介したいです。This zucchini and lemon cake not only counts fruit and vegetables in its ingredients, but it also uses wholewheat flour. With a ‘cheesy’ topping, it could even be regarded as a well-balanced meal. 果菜が入っているケーキですが、さらに全粒の小麦粉も利用しているレシピです。トッピングはクリームチーズから作られているので、ある意味で栄養バランス が抜群のお菓子ですね。Oh well, who am I kidding?笑。。。ごめん、やっぱり嘘をついています! One bite of this delicious cake tells you that it might not be good for your waistline, but it will definitely put a smile on your face!このケーキの一口目でわかるですが、こんなに美味しいものはもちろん健康食品として認めてもらいません!
